Don’t Pull Stunt With Soldiers – Shehu Sani Advises Wike
A former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has advised the Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike, to not be too forward in his engagements with security personnel.
This was following an argument that ensued between the minister and a military officer over an alleged land-grabbing incident in Abuja.
Earlier on Tuesday, in a now viral video, Wike was captured confronting an unidentified military officer at the Gaduwa District of the FCT.
Wike alleged that the military officer was unlawfully guarding a parcel of land allegedly linked to a former Chief of Naval Staff arguing that public land should not be appropriated by individuals under the guise of official connections.
The confrontation almost escalated when Wike stood on his grounds demanding access to the land as the soldier insisted that he followed due process. In the hit of the argument, Wike would be seen raging and raining abusive words on the solder who fired back at him each time.
On Tuesday evening, in a post on his X, in reaction to the incident, Shehu Sani commended Wike’s efforts in restoring order to the FCT but cautioned him against confrontating soldiers.
“Wike is doing an excellent job in Abuja but should not be encouraged to do this kind of stunt with soldiers,” Sani wrote.
Meanwhile, the incident earlier has sparked reactions as many Netizens commended the soldier for his boldness.
