Police Recover Suspected Stolen Car in Yola, Hunt for Owner
The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the recovery of a vehicle believed to be stolen in Yola and has asked the rightful owner to present documents to claim it.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya, said the recovered car is a Toyota Carina E with registration number GAM-155-AA.
According to the command, the vehicle was found approximately three days ago at the premises of Kuda Construction Company within the State Secretariat area of Yola.
Police authorities disclosed that the discovery followed information received on February 28, 2026. Officers were subsequently deployed to the location, where they confirmed the vehicle’s details and moved it to the Dougirie Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation.
The command stated that the car remains in police custody pending proper identification.
Authorities have now called on anyone who can establish ownership of the vehicle to report to the Dougirie Police Station with valid proof, including relevant registration and identification documents.
Police said investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the vehicle’s recovery.
