The newly announced 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, AWKA, Anambra State, Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh has assured all the staff of the prestigious institution that he will serve the interest of all in his tenure.
Prof. Odoh stated this on Tuesday during his acceptance speech as the New Vice Chancellor of UNIZIK.
He further said that despite all the prejudices, concerns, doubts played out during the heat of who will become the Vice-Chancellor of the institution that it’s time for him to embrace everyone and work for the interest of all.
According to him, “I know there were prejudices, concerns, and those who have doubts but you are going to judge me based on performance not based on hearsay.”
“I will serve you well. And our University will be the best. So, I thank everyone,….” Prof. Odoh said.
Odoh, (born 5 August, 1975) hails from Ebonyi State and is a Professor of Applied Geophysics.
He was the Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government from 2015 to 2018.
He also was the gubernatorial nominee of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Ebonyi State in 2023.
