Lagos Signs MoU With Firm For Construction of Lekki-Epe International Airport
Lagos State Government has signed a memorandum with Summa Group; a construction company, for the construction of Lekki-Epe international airport, on Saturday.
Revealing this in a statement on his X handle, the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noted that the project is an important part of his administration’s vision to foster economic growth and enable connectivity in the state.
Furthermore, Sanwo-Olu revealed that the project is aimed at boosting infrastructure, easing transportation challenges, and reinforcing Lagos’ position as a key economic hub in Africa.
He also mentioned his administration’s vision of drawing international investments and stated that the Lekki-Epe airport project is an essential step towards achieving that.
“We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the internationally acclaimed construction company, Summa Group, to develop and construct the much-awaited Lekki-Epe International Airport.
This groundbreaking initiative is an essential part of our vision to improve connectivity in Lagos, stimulate economic growth, and draw in global investments.
The Lekki-Epe International Airport will facilitate travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents throughout the state. Lagos leads, always.” The statement read.
