Obasanjo Dead? Here Is What We Know About The Former President
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has refuted circulating rumours of his death, asserting that he remains hale and hearty.
Addressing the public in Osogbo during the inauguration of the reconstructed Old-Garage/Oke-Fia Road by Governor Ademola Adeleke, Obasanjo said, “I heard the rumour and quickly assured my children and relatives that I’m alive. Those wishing me dead, it’s their wish, but God keeps me alive.”
He lauded Governor Adeleke’s performance and urged him to sustain his developmental strides.
Governor Adeleke highlighted his administration’s completion of over 120 kilometres of roads, including two major flyovers in Osogbo, with ongoing work in Ile-Ife and Ilesa. He emphasized that these projects were funded without loans, attributing success to efficient financial management and cost moderation through local content.
Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to completing all ongoing projects and balancing infrastructure with social programs, promising continued progress in the state’s development.
