JUSTIN!!! NGO Rescues 27 Inmates in Kogi State With N10M
One Victory Idewele Foundation (Non-governmental org) has paid the sum of 10 million naira to request the freedom of 27 Inmates in Kogi State prison.
Particularly, the foundation settled the bail of these 27 Inmates whose cases had options of fine and compensation across different Correctional centers in Kogi State and asked that they be set free.
“Apart from the fines and compensation settled by the NGO, they have also promised to train the released inmates for 3 months in Abuja on skills that would enable them become self-reliant in the society”. The chief justice who disclosed this information during a visit to the correctional centers across the state, said in his speech.
Furthermore, as a result of the NGO’s visit to the correctional centers, the chief has also stressed on the issue of some prosecutors who delay cases more than they should. Advising them to not use their positions for oppression purpose.
