Popular Nigerian, Uk-based pastor and General superintendent of Salvation proclaimers anointed church (SPAC), pastor Tobi Adegboyega, has in a podcast declares popular musician, David Adeleke (Davido) a Gospel Artiste.
In his speech on the ‘Off the record podcast’, the pastor said that the word ‘Gospel’ simply means ‘good news’.
He further stated that as the major reason why he said Davido is a Gospel musician citing further that Davido’s song “I stand strong” resonates.
Going further in his statement, pastor Tobi Adegboyega said Zlatan is his ‘son’ saying that they have such a close relationship as his family live with him(pastor Tobi).
Interestingly, he (pastor Tobi) went ahead to state that his ‘friends’ will always perform at his every event;
“If other gospel artistes cannot support my events and still ask ‘is that a church?’ what should I do, tie them with rope?
It’s my friends that will be there. Everyone in that room was my friend. Zlatan is like a son to me; his kids are my kids, and his parents are in my house. So should I now say, ‘Well, because you are not gospel artists, let me go and look for some gospel artists who are criticizing me and force them to sing?” Pastor Tobi said referring to the gospel artistes who criticized his choice of performers.
Meanwhile, understand that this speech is coming after critiques asked Pastor Tobi why he chose secular artistes to perform on his birthday.
