Elon Musk’s satellite internet service (starlink) is set to increase its subscription fee come 2025.
The company has already sent email to their subscribers and says the increment is taking an immediate effect on new subscribers and old subscribers will pay the new fee from 27th January 2025.
According to them, the increase is necessary as it is aimed to enhance their network infrastructure and enable them maintain high internet quality.
However, the network providers made an option available for users who wish to cancel their plan if they do not wish to continue.
This is to say that, the increase is not a compulsory development as anyone who thinks they can not deal with it can simply cancel their subscription plan.
Below is an outline of the new starlink subscription plan pricing;
- Standard(residential)-N75,000
- Mobile-regional(roam unlimited)-N167,000
- Global-mobile(Global roam)-N717,000
