Ogun State Mechanic Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison for Stealing Customer’s Car
Ogun state magistrate court has sentenced a 27-year old mechanic to 6 years in prison on a three count charge of conversion, stealing and malicious damage of Customers’ car.
The suspect, Abiodun Ajao at the court sitting in Ijebu-imusin, Ijebu east LGA, Ogun state, outrightly pleaded guilty to the charges.
Meanwhile, the court said the said crimes are against the sections 434, 390 and 451 of the state’s criminal code laws, respectively.
Furthermore, in a statement on Monday by the public relations officer of the state commands security and civil defence corps, Dyke Ogbonnaya, the crime and court proceedings were disclosed.
The statement included that the NSCDC state commandant, Remilekun Ekundayo ordered a full investigation of the case after the arrest of the suspect.
Meanwhile, the car involved in the case is a Honda Accord (EOD). He also ordered that actions be taken accordingly.
