The Delta Police has reportedly arrested a 30-year old man identified as Daniel Onyejekwe for stabbing his neighbor to death in a fight over Christmas/new year rice.

Confirming the news was the Delta state police command-public relations officer, SP Bright Edafe, on Thursday.

Furthermore, an eyewitness who narrated details of the unfortunate incident said the fight ensued when they were sharing rice along Boyo road in Ogbanja.

On the condition of remaining anonymous, the witness who confirmed the news to the press said the neighbors started dragging the rice along the line and before anyone could know what was happening, Daniel picked up a bottle and stabbed his neighbor who’s identified as Christian.

However, Christian was rushed to the hospital by the vigilante but he was confirmed dead before anything could be done.

Currently, the culprit is in custody and the police has promised to prosecute him once investigation is concluded on the matter.
