In Jigawa state, a bride was said to have poisoned people that attended their wedding reception. The incident which left the groom critically ill and one already dead has left people talking.

This unfortunate incident happened in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa state.

Meanwhile, the public relations officer who spoke to the press on Friday, confirmed the incident and said that the police was still investigating the incident.

Shi’isu Adam, the officer who confirmed the news said the bride had been arrested alongside one other female who’s also a suspect.

An eye witness who spoke about the tragedy said the bride’s alleged actions may have been driven by personal issues.

Furthermore, the police said the poison was so bad that everyone who consumed the food was hospitalized but have been discharged.

However, one guest was confirmed dead already while the groom is still hospitalized currently.

The police has gone ahead to promise the public that they will see that the real issue and reason behind it is unraveled and justice is served to whom it is due.

“We have confirmed that the incident happened really” The police said.
