Popular Ibadan Broadcaster Summoned by INTERPOL For Defamation and Cyber-Stalking
An Ibadan broadcaster and tv presenter known as Peter Olasupo has been summoned by INTERPOL on allegations of defamation of character and Cyber-Stalking.
The international criminal police organization asked the broadcaster to appear at their office in a letter that was sent to him.
Posting this development on his social media handle on Sunday, Peter said that the letter came to him on 30th of December 2024.
Furthermore, he said the message contained in the letter was for him to go to the INTERPOL’s headquarter at Shehu Shagari way, Gariki, Abuja at 11:00am.
“Now, I have so many questions, Who reported me to INTERPOL? Why INTERPOL? Who is defaming who? And who is cyberstalking who? My Lord, I am innocent of these allegations.” He said partly in his statement.
Furthermore, Peter made it clear that he and his boss had already arranged legal representatives. He mentioned one Barr Yomi Ogunlola as his able lawyer whom his boss immediately reached out to and he(the barrister) replied to the letter on his behalf.
So, the meeting which was earlier scheduled to hold on an earlier date was moved to 13th of January 2025 following the reply to the letter by Barr Ogunlola.
Concluding his statement about the incident, Peter urged his fans and followers to remain calm as whatever was going on would not stop him from telling the truth to those in power.
Also, he questioned INTERPOL about his travel allowance says they should at least provide that and asked whether he was travelling by helicopter or road, indicating that they are costly and risky, respectively.

“Nonetheless, I will do what is required” he said.
