On Tuesday, in a post on their website, the china development bank announced its approval of 245euros for the Kano-Kaduna railway Construction in Nigeria.
The railway in question is a standard gauge line stretching 203 kilometers. It is being constructed to serve as a link from Kano to Abuja.
Furthermore, this project is being carried out by the china civil engineering construction corporation.
However, while the CDB is financing the project, the china bank development has come out to state their support and wish for a seamless construction and execution of the project.
“China development bank released on Tuesday that the bank has recently granted a loan of 245euros ($254.76m) to the Kano-Kaduna railway project in Nigeria, providing financial support for the smooth progress of the project.” The statement on their website read.
However, before now, the China Exim was supposed to be the financers of this project but they backed off as soon as the government announced the enforcement of the CDB as their new funder.
Furthermore, the citizens of the country and everyone else who is interested in the progress of this project are highly anticipating as the president Tinubu has already promised a smooth project.
“The Kano-Kaduna railway will be constructed to satisfaction” Tinubu said.
