70-year old man, Mr. Aghanti and his 50- year old daughter, Mrs. Atagoshi have reportedly lost their lives following a land dispute in Ami community, Ukwuani LGA, Delta state.
Accord to the report, the woman happens to be a secondary school teacher and had bought a land in the community which became an issue later on as some people began claiming the same land.
So, on the day the tragic incident took place, the woman had been invited by a man who claimed he wanted to discuss the land issue with her.
However, she had gone with her father to the land as the suspect led them. Later on, their bodies were discovered without their heads on.
The Delta state police public relations officer -DSP Bright Edafe who confirmed the incident said it was gruesome adding that the main suspect is on the run while the police are working hard to make sure he is apprehended.
“Their headless bodies were found in the bush” he said.
