JUST IN!! Woman Remanded in Court for Spying Husband’s Whatsapp

A woman identified as Dumsile Diudiu in Eswatini, South Africa has been remanded by the court for allegedly spying on her husband’s WhatsApp without his consent.

The trial is to continue on March 10, 2025 and Diudiu was said to have violated Eswatini’s computer crime and cybercrime act of 2022. This act criminalize accessing any part of computer system without justification.

Following the act against her husband, Samukeliso Matse, principal magistrate Fikile Nhlabatsi remanded her at Mbabane magistrate court.

However, Diudiu pleaded non-guilty to unauthorizely searching her husband’s phone while she admitted that she had insulted him.

“I did insult him but it was not as severe as is in the police statement” she said.

“Viewing your love partner’s phone is now a crime in Eswatini. The E300,000 fine is the maximum but a lenient judge may impose a E5,000 fine” Eswatini communication commission’s chief executive officer, Mvilawemphi addresses citizens and asked them to maintain privacy in their love relationship.

However, Diudiu is currently facing upto 3 years imprisonment for the act.
