“Contrary to the sensational narratives, Minister Mercy did not initiate any court action case against Mr. Ezekiel ThankGod (Eezeetee) regarding her music catalogue. At no point has she claimed that a 50/50 revenue split from her DSP earnings is unfair. ”

The statement titled ‘MERCY CHINWO AND MR. EZEKIEL THANKGOD (EEZETEE): SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT’ and signed by Pelumni Olajengbesi Esq. Was shared on the singer’s Facebook page on Saturday, 25th January, 2025.

First of all, the statement noted that Mercy Chinwo never initiated any arrest on her manager but the reverse was the case.

“He filed another suit in court against the EFCC for investigating the allegation. We latter heard that he has been charged with fraud by the EFCC, a warrant of arrest issued for him to be compelled to appear before the court” the statement partly read.

Prior to that, the statement highlighted how Mercy Chinwo had to endure so much bullying, hatred, suffocation and all by her Manager during the period of her contract.

Contrary to what was believed at first, the statement also revealed that the singer’s manager had been unlawfully diverting funds (USD 274,000)from her digital platform revenues.

“Ezeetee claimed that Minister Mercy had asked him to help keep part of the revenue to avoid mismanagement”.

However, he was said to have refunded the money saying it was a misunderstanding.

Additionally, Mr. Ezeetee is said to have forged minister Mercy’s contract after the main one from 2017 had expired probably because he couldn’t let her go, he asked her to sign another contract forged in 2019 and presented as the initial one of 2017.

Meanwhile, Mercy Chinwo’s lawyer through the statement, is calling on Mr. Ezeetee to reveal what happened to the initial contract the singer signed in Port Harcourt and tell the general public why he had to bring up another in Lagos in 2019.

Apparently, Mr. Ezekiel has been the one instigating all the arrests and court cases, according to the statement.
