Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker House of Representative has in a statement on Sunday, called on relevant Government agencies to prioritize the lives and safety of citizens.
He relayed this advice in a statement by his Special assistant, print affairs, Udora Orizu. He further expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims including Enugu state Government and other concerned citizens. He prayed to God to grant them the heart to bear the loss.
Recalling similar incident that happened in Niger State, Hon. Kalu called on the Federal Government and relevant authorities to complete rehabilitation of roads and others to avert future incidents.
Additionally, Kalu urged the Government and relevant authorities to provide relief materials to the Injured and bereaved as he wished the injured quick recovery.
Meanwhile, the tragic incident in question happened on Saturday on Enugu state 9th mile. It involved a fully loaded tanker and some vehicles which it collided with(the tanker which was conveying petrol) other vehicles on the road.
