69-year old Former Microsoft CEO, Bill Gate has again, opened up about how he feels after divorcing from his ex-wife, Melinda saying it’s his most regretted mistake.
The billionaire has rather said that despite being a regrettable mistake, he’s ‘more cheerful now’ after separating from his wife.
Meanwhile, back in 2021, Bill Gate said his divorce from his wife, Melinda was a very sad milestone and called it a source of personal sadness.
Gate and his wife, Melinda, were together for 27 years but announced their decision to dissolve their marriage on May, 2021.
Having been married since 1993 untill their separation, Bill Gate and his Wife, Melinda were blessed with three children.
However, despite having wanted a marriage like that of his parents, Gate revealed that he had begged his wife to be as patient as his mother was which fostered she and her husband’s 45 years of marriage.
“I spent more time with the kids than my dad did but the ratio was still 10:1” he said.
However, he admitted that his family had a great time when Melinda, his wife(60) was doing most things for the kids and he spent more time with them.
Most interestingly, after their divorce finalization in August 2021, Gate and Melinda were still in the same workspace.
According to both parties, it was never an easy thing separating from each other.
Melinda had in October 2022, recounted how uneasy and painful it was healing from the divorce, sharing how she felt working alongside her ex in the same space.
