3-year old Abayomi Michael who was previously abused by his class teacher who was arrested after a video of the incident went viral, has bagged himself a full funded scholarship to university level and a 2-bedroom flat for his parent.

The ugly incident which happened in Christ mitots school in Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos state caused outrage on the internet as the teacher, Mrs. Stella Nwadigbo repeatedly slapped the little child.

However, Mrs. Stella had pleaded not guilty in court but was still remanded in kirikiri.

Nonetheless, the scholarship to the young boy was granted generously by Gidi Real Estate Investment LTD.

This development was made known in an event on Thursday at Alausa which was organized by the Lagos state ministry of Youth and Social Development where Commissioner Mobolaji Ogunlede praised the private organization for such gesture.

Ogunlede also expressed openness of the ministry to join forces with well-meaning individuals and organization that consider vulnerable citizens.

“We appreciate Gidi Real Estate Investment for this noble gesture and encourage others to follow suit.” He said.

The organizations co-founder, Ayorinde Ejioye stated that the organization got to find out about the incident following different publications and reports in Lagos.

In addition, the organization provided a fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment for the boy’s widowed mother, Mrs. Nike Okunlaya.

“We are pleased today that the situation has turned into a positive outcome” The perm secretary of the ministry Pharm. Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu expressed concern over the incident that happened to the child.
