Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has taken to X(twitter) to congratulate his colleague, Tems on her Grammy Award as the Best African Music Performance category.
During the 67th Grammy awards on Sunday, Tems secured the Grammy with her hit song ‘Love Me Jeje’. This marked her second win after she earlier won a Grammy for her contribution to Future’s chart-topping with her single ‘Wait For U’.
The event held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Taking to social media to celebrate Tems on the win in the early hours of monday, Davido wrote; “Congratulations to my one and only! #chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby, we are proud of you!”, celebrating Chris Brown and equally sharing his pride in Tems.
Notably, all the nominees for the Best African Music Performance Category at the Grammy were all Nigerians and it was highly competitive.
