16-year old Ayibanua Timipre has killed himself by hanging on the ceiling fan in Kpansia, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The teenage boy from Igbomotoru Community in Southern Ijaw LGA, was found hanging with the rope still attached to the fan in his father’s house on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
While some residents of the area say that his decision to kill himself was after his parents punished him for stealing N27,000, the actual cause of the incident is unknown.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Musa Mohammed, confirmed the tragic incident as some police officers were the ones that recovered the dead body after the incident.
On the other hand, report says the deceased had just celebrated his 16th birthday on Sunday, 9th February, 2025.
