23-years-old man identified as Solomon Fabiyi has been arrested by Ekiti Police for attempting money rituals with his 6-year old nephew Jomiloju.

The suspect was apprehended on February 14th, 2025 confessed to the crime.

In a viral video of his confession, Solomon said the native doctor had asked him to provide someone for he money ritual and promised that who ever he brought would not be killed but would love wit an ailment all the days of their life.

Furthermore, Solomon revealed that Jomiloju’s mother who happened to be his sister, always left him in his care which made him consider him suitable for the ritual.

“I planned to give him good education and the good life he deserves after the ritual was successful,” he said.

The suspect hails from Kwara state but was born in Ekiti state where he lived with the said nephew and his mother.

On the day he took Jomiloju to the native doctor, he rejected him and quickly alerted the authorities and he(Solomon) was arrested.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident said the suspect has been arrested and would be charged to court.
