One moment, he’s the funny, insightful voice on The Honest Bunch, the next, he’s an alleged “snake,” “manipulator,” and the latest villain on social media’s hit list.😁

Saidaboj aired her grievances. Lucky Udu cried foul. The mob sharpened their knives. Suddenly, everybody has a personal vendetta against Nedu.😏

Before you throw stones, let me talk about my own experience with the so-called “Betrayer.”

I am not someone you randomly bump into on the streets and become friends with. You won’t meet me in a bar and suddenly start rolling with me. I’m not that accessible. If you know me, you were introduced to me. There has to be a reason, a connection, a purpose. That’s exactly how I met Nedu, through a top industry director who knew we had minds that could align.

From that first conversation, it was clear Nedu was different. No idle gist. Just deep, intelligent discussions about African spirituality, politics, law and power. I don’t just befriend people anyhow, but Nedu? He earned my respect.🫡

Over time, we built something beyond industry small talk. I was even scheduled to appear on The Honest Bunch last year to discuss African spirituality. Nedu dedicated an entire Thursday just for my episode. I couldn’t make it due to work. Another time, plans were made again, but duty called. He didn’t take offense, didn’t act entitled. That’s how professional people move.

Then the dragging started. I noticed his WhatsApp status was silent. Something felt off. Then his resignation letter started making rounds online, and I knew things had escalated. I called twice, no answer. So, I left a message. He replied the next day. That’s just who I am. I don’t follow the mob. If I have a relationship with you, I check in.

Now, about those so-called “Sexual Allegations.”

I have sat with this man in a hotel room in Abuja and at night, just talking for hours about deep issues, politics, esoteric mysteries of life. Not once did he move mad or switch conversations that are considered inappropriate. No weird advances, attempted shady touches no uncomfortable energy. Just two intellectuals exchanging knowledge on a conscious level.

I am a young female lawyer running my private firm in Abuja. I know what sexual harassment looks like. If Nedu was that kind of person, do you think I’d be here typing this long paragraphs? I’ve been in spaces where men in power tried to cross the line. Nedu? Nah… That was never the energy.

Some of you only see the funny guy online, but there’s more to him. He’s a man of conscious awareness, an analyst and a deep thinker.👍🏻

Does he have flaws? Of course. Who doesn’t? But using his platform as a bait to lure young ladies?
That’s not my experience. That’s not the man I know.

What I do know is that Nedu trusts deeply. Maybe too deeply. When he’s comfortable with you, he opens up easily. I’ve had conversations with him that he wouldn’t share with just anybody. Even legally, he’s asked for my opinion before making certain moves. There was a time he wanted to sue someone, and I told him to forget it because the case had no legs.

When people insulted and dragged me online for standing ten toes down as an African spiritualist, guess who was one of the few celebrities that encouraged me? Nedu.🥹

He was the one who told me to take Facebook seriously, to create video content because Nigerians don’t like to read. He literally said, “The same way they hate spirituality is the same way they hate reading. If you want to go far, start speaking directly to them.”

That’s the kind of person he is. Always giving ideas, pushing people forward.

If you had an issue with Nedu, pick up the phone, call him and settle it privately?
No, you needed the validation of the internet. You needed an audience to clap for you, so you ran online and started talking like a woman who just caught her man cheating.

If someone confides in you, you keep it sacred. Friends gist and gossip all the time. Don’t even lie, except it’s not your close friend. Even your pastors gossip in their offices.

What kind of man collects gist, stores it like receipts, then throws it out when he’s angry?
What kind of classless, ghetto behavior is that?

That’s not intelligence. That’s pettiness.

Nedu didn’t even accuse you of being agaygay. It was a guest Dee-One on his show. A podcast that Nedu hosts but doesn’t even own. Instead of facing the person who made the claim, you decided to attack Nedu and fight dirty.

Why? Was this a long time beef?
Were you waiting for the perfect moment to strike?

Real men don’t move like that na… Even enemies have honour because in war, there are rules.

Friends fight, but we don’t spill secrets shared in private.

VeryDarkman, you didn’t just expose Nedu. You exposed yourself. You showed the world that you are the real snake. If you could do this to someone you once called a friend, who can ever trust you again?

I’m not here to tell you Nedu is perfect. Maybe to some people, he’s a bad person. Maybe to others, he’s a good man. I am a villain to some, and an angel to others. We all represent a different story in someone’s book. Life is like that.

Nedu might be loud. He might be controversial. That’s because the showbiz requires that. But VDM? You broke the sacred code of male friendship. You are the real definition of betrayal.

The real snake in this matter? It’s not Nedu. It’s you, VDM.
