The Host of KAA Truths Podcast was granted bail on Wednesday after honouring Police invitation, Newsmax Nigeria has learnt.
Recall that the Concerned Christian Youth Forum had petitioned the Nigeria Police Force, Force Intelligence Department (FID), against podcaster KAA Truths, accusing him of conspiracy, cyberstalking, defamation of character, peddling injurious falsehood, and inciting violence.
The petition follows the group’s earlier involvement in the arrest of TikToker Ogunsanwo Olumide John, also known as Seaking, for allegedly disrespecting Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
As part of the investigation, the police invited KAA Truths for questioning. The invitation letter, signed by DCP Dickson Yunana Ayuba, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin) for Deputy Inspector General of Police, Federal Intelligence Department, Abuja, states: “You are requested to report for an interview with the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Intelligence Department (FID) through the undersigned, at SPO’s Room 212, 2nd Floor, Force Intelligence Department (FID) Complex, Shehu Shagari Way, opposite Force Headquarters, Area 11, Garki, Abuja on Wednesday, 26th February, 2025 at 11am.”
The letter further clarifies that the request is based on the investigative powers granted to the police under Sections 214 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Section 4 of the Police Act and Regulations, 2020.
It also states, “Be informed that you are at liberty to come along with your attorney, please.”
