Family of Nigerian novelist, writer, broadcaster, diplomat and tennis champion, Mabel Segun, has announced her passing at age 95.

The family announced the incident and said her burial arrangements would be announced later, as the ex-administrator reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday, 6th march, 2025.

“It is with gratitude to God for a life well spent in the pursuit of excellence in Literature, Broadcasting and Sports that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mabel Dorothy Okanima Segun (nee Aig-Imoukhuede).”

Apparently, the novelist lived from February 18, 1930 to March 6, 2025.
