Gov. Fubara Bags Prestigious Chieftaincy Title ‘Ome Nma 1’ Of Akpor Kingdom Amid Political Crisis 

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has been conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title ‘Ome Nma 1 of Akpor Kingdom’, meaning “The One Who Does Good,” in recognition of his contributions to the development of the kingdom.

NEWMAX NIGERIA reports that the honor was bestowed upon the governor today during the inauguration of the Palace of the Nye Nwe-Eli of Akpor Kingdom, a project initiated and completed by the Rivers State Government. The event, attended by traditional rulers, government officials, and dignitaries, marked a significant milestone in the cultural heritage of Akpor Kingdom.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude for the recognition, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to fostering peace, development, and the preservation of traditional institutions in Rivers State.

The Nye Nwe-Eli of Akpor Kingdom commended the governor for his support and pledged the kingdom’s continued cooperation with the state government.
