Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), the Sole Administrator of Rivers State and former Chief of Naval Staff, has announced the release of the withheld allocations for the state Local Governments.
During a meeting with the LG Head Administrators on Friday in Port Harcourt, Ibas said every workers’ salary would be promptly paid to them and expressed pain.
Also, he advised all LG administrators to enforce financial accountability.
He further urged them to submit their wage bills, alongside relevant documentation, through the head of service’s office.
Warning the LG heads strictly, Ibas said his administration is keen on finance management and would not tolerate any form of mismanagement.
