In the Watt business area of Calabar, Cross River State a yet-to-be identified police man has gone on and about shooting without aim.

According to the report, the police officer walked out of the police station on Sunday morning, while civilians were going about their business and cocked his gun, started shooting.

Confirming the incident, the cross River State police command said;

“The matter has been handled this morning and the inspector is in detention. A press release will be released in a short while.”

While several were injured, others ran for their lives leaving 4 dead—according to the report.

However, the actual cause of the shooting is not known yet as manner claim the officer had “gone mad”.
