How Ogun Police Officer Shot Himself Dead After Fellow Asked How He’s Doing
In Igbesa area of Ogun State, on Thursday, an inspector of police identified as Ajele Oloyede shot himself dead.
In a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, he said officer Tolorunloju Stephen, from the Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos, was on a special duty at the company when the incident happened.
According to the report, Oloyede shot himself at a ceramics company in Igbesa, where he was assigned as part of the company’s security.
Apparently, Officer Stephen had gotten to he company when he found Oloyede resting his head on a table.
Stephen asked the deceased about his well-being and he said he was fine. The two officers exchanged pleasantries. He went inside the restroom only to hear gunshot.
Rushing out, he saw inspector Oloyede lying in the pool of his blood.
The command’s spokesperson said his pistol was recovered at the scene when they arrived and his body was rushed to the hospital with the help of private security agents.
However, on getting to the hospital, he was pronounced dead and his body was deposited at Ota General Hospital for autopsy.
