Ebonyi State Governor Rt .Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has assured that the vanco junction flyover and tunnel will be completed on record time

Speaking to journalists shortly after inspecting progress of work , the Governor said the project was conceived because it is strategic to the development of the Abakaliki Capital City.

“This is an idea conceived by our administration. The former Governor towards the end of his administration told me about this flyover.

“We discussed and agreed that because of the volume of traffic in this place, we consider constructing this flyover”.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the site contrary to complaints in some quarters that the work is slow.

” Some people complain that the work is slow. This is because they don’t have full knowledge of what is going on . It is a twin flyover with a tunnel and one of the best you can find anywhere in the country when completed.

” Very soon we shall create a forum to explain to the people what the project is all about. The project is not slow by my assessment.The beams have been completed.”

On the Water Treatment Plant, the Governor said ” the work is about 80 percent completed, very soon, there will be water everywhere”.

While calling on observers to discountenance the idea of beating anniversary deadlines, Governor Nwifuru maintained ” I am not in hurry to commission projects. I am not done yet. By God’s Grace, I still have about 6 years to go.

“By that time, people will see what we have been able to put up with the mandate they gave us”.
