A customer has reportedly beaten a man, Ifeanyi Ani — a security guard at a popular eatery in Rumukrushi, Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The unfortunate incident happened on Thursday evening and sources disclosed that the guard had simply spoken with the man’s wife on casual levels, which he misunderstood.
According to the report, the customer had parked his car leaving his headlights on which the guard had gone to tell him about only to meet his wife in the car instead.
While he was trying to tell the woman about the headlights, the man confronted him and without letting him explain, an altercation ensued.
The customer had punched the guard severally leading to his collapse and death.
Confirming the incident, the state’s police command said the man had been arrested alongside the manager of the eatery as family of the deceased seeks justice.
