Meet Bashir Ojulari The New NNPC Boss
On Wednesday, President Tinubu appointed Bashir Ojulari the new MD and chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company(NNPC) after sacking the former, Mele Kyari.
The Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga who disclosed this in a statement noted that Tinubu worked with the powers granted under Section 59, subsection 2 of the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021.

Bashir Ojulari’s Profile
Ojulari, who hails from Kwara State, is an expert in petroleum, process, and production engineering.
The former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Prior to his appointment in November 2015, as the Managing Director of SNEPCo, Ojulari was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) from 1998 to 1999.
Also, being the first Nigerian process engineer at Elf Aquitaine, Ojulari became an associate production technologist at the Shell Petroleum Development Company in 1991.
Before he became the NNPCL boss in Nigeria, Ojulari has handled managerial roles in different Europe and the Middle East companies over time.
