The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has revealed that he has the capacity of leading Nigeria as her president. He stated that he is convinced following the amazing works he has done as a Governor.
Making this statement on Tuesday when he featured on Channels Television’s “Politics today”, Makinde, however, questioned his readiness for such fit and how much Nigerians would accept it.
He also stated that the focus of his party is to rebuild and become strong again.
“I don’t have any doubt that I have the capacity to occupy the highest office in this land, and I have what it takes.
“But is it what I want to do right now? Is it what Nigerians are asking for? Is it what my party will say we should do? I don’t know. We still have a long time to go.
“Where we are right now is, you know, we must fix our party. You must have a platform for you to even aspire to be anything,” he said.
Speaking about his journey in politics and ambition, Makinde stressed that he would never come out to do anything or purse any fit if he is not prepared and fully ready.
The Governor also stated that he is grateful for his office as the head of Oyo state and for how far he has come.
