Anambra police have arrested one Chidiebere Mbene for killing 15-year old Nwokedi Michael Tochukwu after invading his Parents’ house —masked and armed. The suspect also raped the victim’s older sister.
According to the report, the deceased had returned home for easter to his parents – Mr and Mrs Nwokedi when the incident happened, on Tuesday.
Spokesman to the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the news said the parents of the victims are teachers in Unubi community, Nnewi South LGA.
According to the police, the Suspect passed through the fence into the building — masked and armed with pump action; only to shoot the young secondary school boy at close range.
It is not clear what he went into the house to do exactly, but he is said to have raped Michael’s older sister before leaving.
Ikenga also said he was caught with help of community members and had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, for a comprehensive investigation as order by the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu.
