The Hon commissioner for Border peace and Conflict Resolution Dr Donatus chukwuma Ilang on Thursday inspected the disputed areas(deeper life land) between Amofia and Ukwagba Communities in Ohaukwu local Government Area calling on the two Communities to allow peace reign in the area.

Dr Ilang who was conducted around the land in dispute emphasized that the fact finding visit is to ascertain the claims of both communities and the real landlord of Deeper life church Amofia.

The commissioner futher conducted independent inquires and investigation within the neighborhood maintaining that the inquires wil be juxtaposed with the fact -finding ,oral and written sublimations of the two Communities to end the lingering land dispute.

The conflict Resolution boss also called for More facts and documents to enable the ministry determine the real owners of the land and commended the leadership of the two Communities, pastors and members of Deeper life congregation for maintaining peace amidst provocations.from the activities of some persons contesting the land.

He further charged the Cordinators of Ngbo East and Ngbo North development centers to ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility in their areas

Speaking at the event the Cordinator of Ngbo East development center Hon Isaac Alike and his counterpart of Ngbo North prince Uche-Achi Okpaga noted that the disputed has been lingering before the assumption of their offices and promise to cooperate with the ministry to bring the matter to an end. They commended the commissioner for making out time to inspect the land despite his busy schedule and called on the two communities to continue live to live harmoniously

On their part, the traditional Ruler of Amofia community HRH Eze Gabriel Enyiudu and the traditional Ruler of Ukwagba community HRH Eze Fredrick omeh noted that the village/ community integration done in the past around the okwor market by the former leaders of Ngbo clan have united the people of the clan with each community having their own access road to the market and theifore called for unity among the people.

In their vote of thanks, the town Union presidents of the two Communities comrade Nwali chinedu and Awoke Goodwin of Amofia and Ukwagba respectively expressed delight on the commissioner’s visit to the community and thanked me Governor of Ebonyi State Rt Hon Bulider Ogbonnaya Nwifuru for creating enabling environment for settlement of dispute/ crisis in the state and expressed confidence that their people will abide by the outcome of investigation and Government decision on the matter.
The inspection visit was also graced by the Executive chairman of Ohaukwu local government Area prince Ikechukwu odonor and some leaders of deeper life bible church among others.
