Rivers: Man Hits Reverend Sister to Death Over Debt He Owed Her
Rivers State Police has arrest a man identified as Kelvin Okoro, for killing a Reverend Sister —Maureen Wecheonwu in Aluu community, Ikwerre LGA of the state.
According to the report and testimony of a resident of the area who wants to remain anonymous, the suspect had owed the victim a certain amount of money for a long time which is why he killed her.
The source said the deceased had told some people in the community how the suspect refused to repay the loan only for him to lure her out to a lonely place in the guise of discussing the debt.
“What we heard was that he didn’t know how to repay the money. So he called the woman out in the guise of discussing the debt,” the source said.
It was further revealed that he fled the scene after the crime but was cought later and handed over to the police.
Spokesperson to the State police, Grace Iringe-Koko said investigations are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, remains of the Reverend Sister were already deposited at the morgue
