Chief Segun Adewale of the People’s Democratic Party has said that Atiku is the one who can save Nigeria now.

The chieftain on Friday, during his speech to News men said those criticizing Atiku do so for the benefit of their stomach and not Nigeria.

This is coming after former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George and ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose criticized Atiku’s presidential ambition.

They had advised the former vice president to leave the PDP if he wanted to run.

Meanwhile, in his statement, Adewale said Atiku Abubakar is one of the few politicians who understand contentment.

He also lauded the ex-vice president for standing trials and not giving up while stating that no one can stop him from being the president in 2027; “Not even Peter Obi.”

Referring to critics, Adewale said;

“Anyone within PDP saying Atiku should not contest in 2027 is working for the opposition and not for the party or the country.

“They are working for personal pockets, therefore, should not be listening to them. We must discard their opinions.

“All dissenting voices in our party are working for their stomach, not for Nigeria.”
