PICTORIAL: Fubara Appears in Public For The First Time After UK Trip
The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has appeared in public for the first time after he returned from his trip to the UK —on vacation.
The suspended Governor honored the Boys Brigade Metropolitan Battalion Council for their 2025 thanksgiving, on Sunday.
After the Governor —whose suspension came alongside a state of emergency declaration in Rivers state by president Tinubu following insecurities in the state — had returned to the country on Saturday after his two weeks vacation.
According to the media aide to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi in a statement — the Thanksgiving Service was in celebration of a successful camping of the council — and the Service which held at the St. Cyprain’s Church, Anglican Communion in Port Harcourt was presided over by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja.
During the sermon, the Bishop urged the boys brigade to remain focused and not be pressured to join cult. He also stressed on the real deal about leadership —he said it demands patience and while it is such a rare virtue, it is vital.
Accompanied by Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart and Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, the suspended Governor was prayed for in the occasion —and his family.
