Akpabio Sues Natasha Over Apology Letter
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has petitioned the court to ask Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to delete a satirical apology she had posted on her social media.
Akpabio requested the Abuja Federal High Court through legal team, led by Kehinde Ogunwumiju, to direct Akpoti-Uduaghan to delete the video, arguing it violated a judge’s directive.
The video which the Kogi central suspended Senator, Natasha posted on April 27, stated that she was sorry for not winning her position through erection.
She further stated that she was sorry for maintaining her dignity and self respect rather than letting Akpabio have his way with her.
Senator Natasha and Akpabio have been involved in a war for a while following an altercation in the Senate chamber over seating arrangements.
The senate had disciplined her for misconduct leading to her filing a suit. petitioning the court to stop the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, chaired by Senator Neda Imasuen, from investigating her.
Later, the senator accused Akpabio of sexual harassment which elongated the war and led to her suspension and a lot other things unfolded including the publication of a satirical apology letter.
Meanwhile, Akpabio’s legal team led by Kehinde Ogunwumiju has urged the court to mandate Akpoti-Uduaghan to delete the apology letter she published earlier and publish a written apology in at least two national newspapers and file an affidavit confirming her compliance.
