Tragedy in Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State has left residents in shock as an acclaimed spiritualist has killed four siblings with pestle.
The man whose identity is unknown for now; is said to be a pastor of a sabbath church in the area and no one knows yet why he did committed the heinous crime.
The victims include; Kamsiyochukwu Ezema (7), Ezinne Ezema (6), Ujunwa Ezema (5), and Chinedu Ezema (2), all from the same parents.
Confirming the incident, the LG Chairman, Mr Ferdinand Ukwueze who visited the crime scene with the company of DSS officers and other security operatives, said;
“Our community was shaken by the tragic and heinous murder of four innocent children in Ibagwa-Aka.”
During his condolence visit to the Parents of the victims; Chinonso Ezema and Loveth Ezema on Saturday, Ukwueze vowed that justice must be served.
According to the grieving parents, they had gone out at the time the ugly incident happened.
“Following preliminary investigations, law enforcement agencies have apprehended some key suspects in connection with the crime, while still searching for others yet at large,” the chairman revealed.
He further ordered that the premises where the incident took place be sealed.
According to revelations from investigations, the crime scene is believed to be used for unauthorized herbal medicine operations and spiritual activities by the suspect.
The entire community and people of Igbo-Eze South have joined the grieving parents to seek justice for the young lives that were cut short.
“We want the police to thoroughly investigate this and ensure the culprit is brought to book,” the father of the dead children pleaded.
Meanwhile, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, is unreachable at the time of this report to get his comment.
