The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) would be immediately shut down for scheduled maintenance.
Contained in a statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Femi Soneye, on Saturday, the maintenance excercise is to begin today, 24th may, 2025 to enhance the performance of the refinery.
“The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) wishes to inform the general public that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) will undergo a planned maintenance shutdown
“This scheduled maintenance and sustainability assessment will commence on May 24, 2025.
“We are working closely with all relevant stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to ensure the maintenance and assessment activities are carried out efficiently and transparently,” the statement read.
Reaffirming the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable energy, Soneye urged to general public to constantly visit the company’s website and other important channels to stay updated through out the maintenance period.
“NNPC Ltd remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering sustainable energy security,” he added.
