Tinubu in Lagos For ECOWAS 50th Anniversary
At about 4:15pm on Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu landed Lagos to join other regional leaders and dignitaries to celebrate the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on its 50th anniversary, on Wednesday.
The presidential plane conveying Tinubu landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja at 4:15 pm and be was warmly received by the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In his statement, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that the president and ECOWAS chairman will highlight the economic bloc’s milestones. The president will also inaugurate some projects his administration had taken up.
Some of the projects include; Section I of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road, the flag-off of Section II of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, and the 7th Axial Road.
Onanuga also said that the president will take Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House, Dodan Barracks, before returning to Abuja, he didn’t say when exactly.
