Another Petrol Tanker Catches Fire Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Passersby, motorists and residents have been put in total panic as a petrol tanker fell and caught fire along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, directly opposite the NASFAT Camp.

Confirming this, the Education Officer of the FRSC in the state, Florence Okpe, said that a rescue team from the FRSC and the fire service were on the ground, but could not confirm any casualties.

Also, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, said motorists coming from Lagos diverted through Christ Embassy camp.

“TRACE, FRSC, and the police are on the ground monitoring the situation,” he said.

While this is happening on Wednesday, another petrol tanker had exploded between Oremeji and Olorunsogo of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and caused gridlock, on Monday, NEWSMAXNG reports.

In the earlier incident, no casualties were recorded as well, as the Oyo fire service intervened and put off the fire.
