Tinubu Sympathizes With Victims of Borno Bombing, Kano Explosion

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the victims of the Konduga, Borno State suicide bombing that occurred over the weekend.

In a Sunday statement by the Special Adviser to the president on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the incident was a cowardly act.

He said; “President Bola Tinubu has expressed anguish over the suicide bombing in Konduga, Borno State, at the weekend.

“The President mourned those who lost their lives, describing the attack as cowardly.

“He urged security agencies to double their efforts in routing remnants of the Boko Haram insurgents who resort to attacks on soft targets as a diversionary tactic.

“President Tinubu condoned with the government and people of Borno State over the incident and directed the National Emergency Management Agency to support survivors.

The presidency also stated that the president extended his sympathy to the victims of the explosion in Kano State, on Saturday at a scrap metal factory.

NEWSMAXNG reports that the incident affected 15 people, five of whom were confirmed dead.

Onanuga added; “Meanwhile, the President has sympathised with the families of those killed or injured by an explosion on Saturday morning in Kano.

“He also stressed the need for safety protocols and accountability and tasked relevant government institutions with investigating the incident.”
