Heavy Rainfall Destroys Farm Of Journalist In Ebonyi State (Photos)
Ebonyi-born journalist and Editor, Wisdom Nwedene has cried out after heavy rainfall destroyed his farm inputs worth over 2.5 million naira despite the economic hardship in the country.
Earlier, on Monday, the journalist had taken to his official Facebook account, Wisdom Nwedene to share pictures and videos of how the Sunday night heavy rain had flooded his farm, covering his heaps and cultivated seeds.
In the video, the planted seeds which had started germinating and growing healthily were being swept away by the overflowing flood.
According to him, the farm located at Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government of Ebonyi State never witnessed such an erosion.
Subsequently, on Tuesday morning, he would share heartbreaking photos and videos of the game completely swept away after the flood looked to have dried.
The inputs; Cassava, yams, vegetables worth over N2.5m were completely destroyed and nothing could be seen.

Some of them that were already growing seeds would be seen hanging in tiny soils holding some tiny roots that wouldn’t let go easily.
“I am completely heartbroken. I don’t know what to do. I spent money on that farm and now everything is gone,” he lamented.
He called on good government and good spirited individuals to come to his Aide.
Some social media users have shared their condolences to him stating how devastating such experience could be over such incident.
A farmer who condoled with him disclosed that “as a farmer”, it is not a funny experience. He further calculated how the heaps cost no little money in settling labourers. He also said the seeds do not come freely as one has to buy them and work hard to see them develop to the point the Editor’s had developed in the videos and photos of the incident.
