Tinubu Bags Title in Saint Lucia (Photos)

The government of Saint Lucia has honored the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL), during his visit to the country.

Earlier, the president jetted off to Saint Lucia, a travel which his aide, Bayo Onanuga clarified to not be a vacation but to strengthen the bond between the two countries.

In the statement, he explained that Saint Lucia and Nigeria had been close from time past and the president only went to bring the bond back to life between them.

Meanwhile, the Saint Lucia government in her own statement declared that they are ready to create unbreakable bond with Nigeria. It disclosed that it would make visa waiver arrangement with Nigeria.

“Saint Lucia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria will formalise diplomatic relations to establish a structured framework for exploring and advancing cooperation across a broad range of mutually beneficial areas.

“Saint Lucia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria will establish a visa waiver arrangement for holders of diplomatic and official passports from OECS member states.

“Nigeria will provide scholarships to citizens of OECS member countries and extend the services of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (TAC) to OECS countries,” it stated in a different X thread.

In another X tweet on Monday, the Saint Lucia government declared that it has deemed it fit to honor the president of Nigeria with a title…

The government said; “The Government of Saint Lucia is pleased to announce that, the Governor General has conferred the title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL) upon H. E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
