Bauchi Gov. Appoints New SSA on Communication
The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Abdulwahab Mohammed as Senior Special Assistant on Communication. The role is effective immediately.
This was contained in a Friday press release issued by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
The newly appointed, Abdulwahab is a seasoned journalist and former staff member of the Hausa Service of Voice of America.
Gidado, therefore, in the press release, expressed faith in him to bring decades of media experience with a track record of objectivity and dedication to his new role.
According to him, Abdulwahab has his feet well rooted in journalism which makes him the idle candidate for the role.
He further stated that the new appointment reflects the state governor’s commitment to strengthening the state’s communication machinery and deepening government engagement with the public.
He said; “The new appointee is expected to play a key role in projecting the state’s policies and programmes, enhancing public awareness, and promoting good governance.”
The state governor congratulated the new appointee and urged him to be effective in his new office by imploring his vast expertise over the years.
He also urged him to discharge his responsibilities in alignment with the administration’s vision of building a more informed and inclusive society.
