A Message of Gratitude and Continued Commitment

It is with immense gratitude and continued commitment that I prepare to step away from my role as Commissioner for Information and State Orientation to embrace a new chapter at the Ministry of Rural Development. Thus, I wish to seize this moment to share my heartfelt gratitude.

More than anything else, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the incredible honour and trust he has reposed in me as the Commissioner for Information, and now, for the faith he has shown in appointing me to lead the Ministry of Rural Development. His leadership and vision for Ebonyi State continue to inspire our work. I truly appreciate this renewed chance to help transform our rural communities, which are the very heart of Ebonyi.

To the passionate and dedicated, staff of the Information Ministry and journalists of Ebonyi State: your collaboration over the past months and years has been the foundation of our achievements. Thank you for your relentless pursuit of truth, your professionalism in reporting, and your essential role as a link between the government and the community. Your constructive feedback has inspired us to improve; your coverage of our state’s advancements has helped tell our collective story. I truly appreciate your steadfast support, understanding, and commitment to our mandate and ethical journalism for the greater good of our beloved state.

To my amazing friends, and supporters on Social Media: your engagement, encouragement, and thoughtful discussions have been a constant source of strength for me. In this digital era, you have created a vital ‘virtual town hall’ that has helped spread government information and promote healthy conversations. Your shares, comments, and feedback were not just noticed but deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing by my side and for your passionate interest in the journey of Ebonyi’s development.

As I embark on this new journey, I sincerely urge the media practitioners in the state to extend the same level of cooperation, understanding, and constructive partnership to my successor. Managing the state’s information landscape is both crucial and challenging. Your support was key to any success we achieved during my time, and it will be just as vital for the ongoing effectiveness of the Ministry under new leadership. Please offer him the same access, fairness, and commitment to truth that you so generously provided me.

Lastly, I want to reiterate my call for unwavering support for His Excellency, the Governor. His vision for a prosperous, united, and well-developed Ebonyi relies on the collective effort of every citizen and institution, especially the Fourth Estate. Let’s continue to stand behind his administration, providing not just scrutiny but also encouragement, as we work towards the overall good and sustainable development of Ebonyi State.

I carry forward the lessons and goodwill from the Ministry of Information into this new role at Rural Development, committed with renewed energy to serving our people. Thank you all once again.

May God bless Ebonyi State!
