During the burial of the late former president of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Daura, Kastina, the Governor of Kastina state, Dikko Radda was moved to tears.

After prayers were held at a helipad near Buhari’s home on Tuesday, his was led to rest in the garden at his residence.

In a footage of the ceremony seen by NEWSMAXNG on the internet, Radda could be seen crying like a baby as Buhari was being laid into the grave.

In his tribute, Radda said Buhari was a father figure to him as he described him as an embodiment of the common man’s aspirations.

He said; “From his early days as a military leader to his transformative presidency, President Buhari never forgot his roots.

“He remained connected to the soil of Katsina and the hearts of its people. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our collective consciousness.

“As we mourn this irreparable loss, we must also celebrate a life well-lived in service to humanity.

“President Buhari’s legacy of putting people first will continue to inspire generations of leaders.”
