Tinubu Is The Best President Nigeria Has Ever Had – Portable Declares

Popular Nigerian street-pop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again showered praises on President Bola Tinubu, describing him as the best leader Nigeria has ever produced.

He made the statement in a viral Instagram video posted on Monday, amid rising online criticisms from other celebrities who backed Tinubu during the 2023 general elections but have since expressed regret over their decision due to worsening economic conditions.

According to Portable, Nigeria has only started witnessing true progress under Tinubu’s government, despite complaints from citizens and social media users.

He said, “Since I was born and Nigeria has existed, people say ‘Nigeria will get better’. Nigeria only gets better under the Tinubu administration. It is President Bola Tinubu who makes the country great. He is the best president Nigeria ever had, though I don’t know how future presidents will perform, but he is the best we ever had.”

The ‘Zazu Zeh’ crooner further claimed that while many insult the president online, he believes Tinubu is simply focused on working quietly behind the scenes.

“Whenever Nigerians and bloggers insult Tinubu, the president does not respond to their criticisms because he is busy working,” he said.

Portable also reflected on his earlier criticism during the EndSARS protest, where he joined others in accusing the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, of allegedly ordering the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

He said, “He is working and just talking, I don’t lie, because I was part of people who previously abused the president during the EndSARS, where former president Muhammadu Buhari allegedly ordered Lekki Toll Gate shootings, but Tinubu is indeed working as president.”

He added that those who hustle diligently under Tinubu’s leadership will find a way to survive, using himself as an example.

The video stirred reactions across social media, coming days after the singer also blamed Buhari’s administration for worsening hardship and closing food borders in the country.
